  • Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Graduate Student Council: Graduate Teaching Award (for the best teacher of a graduate level course, among all professors and teaching assistants in the School of Humanities, Arts and Social Sciences), 2000.
  • Keio University, Department of Economics: Gold Watch Award (for the best academic record among 1,300 graduating students), 1991.
