The Australia-Japan Research Centre publishes the working papers series Asia Pacific Economic Papers under the direction of an editorial Advisory Committee. The papers appear in hard copy and on-line up to twelve times a year. Papers are subject to double-blind external review by two referees.
The Australia-Japan Research Centre publishes the APEC Economies Newsletter every month for the Crawford School of Economics and Government. The newsletter promotes debate about topical policy issues affecting the economies of the APEC region. The newsletter is published on-line.
In 2009, the AJRC provided substantial support for the publication by Routledge UK of “Laggards and Leaders in Labour Market Reform: Comparing Japan and Australia”. A sequel to a 1983 AJRC publication entitled ‘Japanese and Australian Labour Markets: A comparative study’, it contains the results of a 2007 collaborative research project between the ANU, Monash University and the Japan Institute for Labour Policy and Training.
