Human research ethics clearance

Any research conducted by ANU staff, visiting fellows or postgraduate students that collects information from or about people (for instance by interviews, surveys, observation or examination of records) requires ethical clearance before the research can proceed. Applications are made through an online system called ARIES. See the Office of Research Integrity's Human Ethics web page.
