Research Fields
ANU Graduate Studies Research Fields bring together graduate students and staff with common research interests but who may be located in different academic areas. Each Research Field has a Convenor with special responsibilities for arranging inductions, seminars and workshops, and providing advice to prospective graduate students. Convenors help potential graduate students to access supervision opportunities at the ANU. Many research fields are interdisciplinary; and interdisciplinary and multi-disciplinary projects are strongly encouraged. Within Crawford School the main fields of research are:

- Political Science & International Relations – Convenor is Dr Brendan Taylor
- Public Policy - Convenor is Dr Peter Larmour

How do I apply? |
- Apply through the ANU Graduate Research website.
- Applicants for PhD study at the ANU must have an academic supervisor willing to accept them as a student. They should email the supervisor they have identified with a short description of the proposed area of research and a summary of academic qualifications as an expression of interest. A list of academic staff, and their areas of expertise is available from here.
