It has funded two PhDs who are well into their projects: Scott Flower has completed his fieldwork on Islam in Papua New Guinea, and is writing up his material in Melbourne, as part of his doctoral studies and Aaron Batten has completed his coursework and will be spending the next year or so attached to the National Research Institute in PNG, looking at aid affectiveness.
