STARS (Statistical Trade Analysis Retrieval System) is an international trade and production database located in the ANU which has a collection of comprehensive trade data at the finest possible level of aggregation with the capability of aggregating in ways commonly used in analysis by applied trade economists at the ANU and with the capacity for calculating trade shares and indices readily.
STARS is currently available by contacting the Crawford Data Manager on Crawford.Data@ANU.edu.au

Q: How can I access ANU's own International Economic Databank (IEDB) where the STARS database is housed?
A: ANU staff and students can access the database and conduct calculations live on the database by creating an account here.
Q: How can I borrow the IMF data CDs? (Direction of Trade Stats, International Financial Statistics, Balance of Payments Statistics and Government Financial Statistics)
A: You can email crawford.data@anu.edu.au and set up a time to borrow or visit the data manager representative on the ground floor in the China Economy and Business Program in the Crawford Building right in front of room 38 on Fridays between 8:30am and 9:30am.
