Ian Buchanan

Senior Executive Advisor, Booz & Company;

Ian Buchanan is an experienced strategy consultant, and independent non Executive Director with over 35 years of leadership and advisory experience throughout the Asia Pacific Region. He is currently an Asian Advisor to Rio Tinto Alcan, IAG and CHAMP Private Equity and is also Director of The Great Barrier Reef Foundation, The Distillery and iRepublics.

In 1972 he led SE Asia’s first reverse take-over/LBO, took joint CEO role and designed, and implemented a wide-ranging restructuring plan for this KLSE/SES listed firm which resulted in a dramatic profit turnaround and a 400% share price increase in less than 1 year.

In 2000 Ian relocated to Sydney as Booz Allen Hamilton Chairman, Australia, NZ and SE Asia
